The POD in Joburg is a marvel of a minimalist home with plenty of surprises.

Designed to make sure the occupant wouldn’t get tempted by accumulating useless items but instead cherish a few, truly utile ones, the POD iDaDla is the brainchild of Clara da Cruz Almeida. It measures just north of 20.5 square metres (221 sq ft) with its outside deck, and yet packs a mezzanine with a sleeping loft, ample storage space, and a beautifully simple execution.
