It’s striking to see how similar themes seem to come back in everyone’s comments. Learn. Take risks. Travel. Question everything. Listen more. Be weird.

Still, my favourite is perhaps this line: “anyone who isn’t embarrassed of who they were last year probably isn’t learning enough”.

Because however hard we try, we are bound to get sidetracked. Even with the best intentions in the world, we cannot keep all of these principles top-of-mind all the time. There are too many cognitive biases.

And that’s fine. We can learn from all of these opportunities.

We can grow, little by little.
